Die in the Dungeon is a turn-based roguelite that replaces cards with dice. You control a small frog-like adventurer and enter a multi-floor dungeon filled with enemies, traps, shops, and treasures. Each encounter plays out as a tactical exchange where you roll, place, and combine dice to deal damage, block attacks, heal, or trigger special effects. The goal is to survive each floor, adapt your dice pool, and reach stronger foes before your luck runs out.
Gameplay centers on risk and choice. Each turn you roll a set of dice and choose how to use each face. Dice faces offer attack values, defense, status effects, and utility actions. You craft synergies by selecting upgrades between runs, buying relics and consumables at shops, and choosing paths that fit your strategy. Permadeath ends each run but grants progression through permanent upgrades and new dice options. The game rewards planning, quick decision making, and creative combos as you learn enemy patterns and build a resilient dice loadout.
