Texas Holdem is a popular poker game for 2 to 10 players that mixes skill and chance. Each player receives 2 private cards and up to 5 shared community cards appear on the table. The goal is to make the best 5-card hand using any combination of your 2 hole cards and the 5 community cards. You win chips by having the best hand at showdown or by making all other players fold during betting rounds.
Gameplay flows through 4 betting rounds: preflop, flop, turn, and river. Before cards are dealt two forced bets called the small blind and big blind start the pot. After hole cards are dealt, players choose to fold, call, or raise. The dealer reveals 3 community cards on the flop, then 1 on the turn, and 1 on the river. At the final betting round remaining players reveal their hands at showdown and the highest ranking hand wins. Texas Holdem rewards reading opponents, position play, and managing chip stacks across fast, competitive hands.
