Gameplay starts with an ante bet. The dealer and player each receive five cards. One dealer card is usually shown face up. After seeing your hand you choose to fold and lose the ante or raise by placing a bet usually equal to 2x the ante to continue. The dealer then reveals the full hand. If the dealer does not qualify, the ante pays 1:1 and the raise is returned. If the dealer qualifies, hands compare: a winning player gets the ante 1:1 and the raise paid according to a standard pay table. Ties push for both bets.
